Aluminum Ferrule
Material: AA6063
European Standard for Oval Aluminum Ferrule Foldback Ferrule or Ferrule Eye Termination (FSET). The standard is EN 13411-3. The ferrules are seamlessly extruded on a mandrel from a seamless extrusion in aluminum alloy AW-5051A (according to EN 573-3).
Oval Aluminum Sleeve is a ferrule made of aluminum, usually used to make wire and cable. Oval Ferrule has good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, and can effectively transmit electric current. Compared with copper ferrule, the price of Wire Rope Ferrule is cheaper, so it is widely used in some low-voltage cables. However, aluminum ferrules for crimping steel wire ropes also have some disadvantages, such as slightly worse electrical conductivity than copper ferrules, and easy oxidation. Therefore, in some high-voltage cables and important electrical equipment, copper ferrules are usually selected.
